Air Import Coordinator

Full-Time • Air Freight Operations

Position Overview

JH Logistics is seeking a qualified Air Import Coordinator to join our Wood Dale, IL branch. In this role, you will manage end-to-end air freight import operations, from pre-alert issuance to final invoicing, ensuring seamless supply chain execution for international clients and purchasing partners.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate air import operations end-to-end, including pre-alerts, arrival notices, customs documentation, delivery orders, and client invoicing.
  • Communicate proactively with overseas agents, international buyers, airlines, and domestic trucking carriers to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Maintain high compliance standards adhering to U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP), TSA, and internal operational protocols.
  • Build and foster strong working relationships with third-party logistics vendors and cargo handling facilities.

Job Qualifications & Requirements

  • Previous air import or freight forwarding experience is preferred (entry-level candidates with strong logistics coursework are encouraged to apply).
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Korean is required for international partner coordination.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word) and freight management software.
  • Must hold valid work authorization in the United States.

Air Import Coordinator

Full-Time • Air Freight Operations

Position Overview

Our Headquarters branch in Carson, CA is looking for a detail-oriented Air Import Coordinator. You will oversee air freight import procedures, ensuring strict regulatory compliance, efficient cargo movement, and superior service delivery for our global buyer network.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage air import workflow from receipt of pre-alert instructions through warehouse recovery and final billing.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by providing real-time cargo tracking updates and resolving logistical bottlenecks promptly.
  • Ensure accurate entry of shipping manifests, HAWB/MAWB details, and customs release verification.
  • Collaborate closely with local bonded warehouse staff and drayage partners for timely cargo distribution.

Job Qualifications & Requirements

  • Prior experience in air freight logistics or supply chain management is advantageous.
  • Fluency in both English and Korean to communicate effectively with overseas branches and local clients.
  • Strong computer literacy, organizational acumen, and multi-tasking skills under deadline constraints.

Ocean Import Coordinator

Full-Time • Ocean Freight / NVOCC Operations

Position Overview

JH Logistics is seeking an Ocean Import Coordinator at our Carson, CA facility. As a licensed NVOCC, we rely on ocean logistics experts to facilitate FCL and LCL container imports across transpacific and worldwide ocean trade lanes.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Handle ocean import shipments from initial booking receipt, ISF filing review, to container release and final drayage delivery.
  • Coordinate container movement with ocean carriers, terminal operators, customs brokers, and inland trucking partners.
  • Review shipping documents (Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists) for full regulatory accuracy.
  • Provide accurate rate quotes, billing setup, and freight audit verification for ocean operations.

Job Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience in ocean import logistics or freight forwarding operations is preferred.
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Korean is required.
  • Familiarity with FMC regulations, ocean carrier booking systems, and MS Office applications.
  • Must have valid authorization to work in the United States.
